Eligibility & Requirements

Eligibility

To qualify, customers must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Individuals born in Selangor (verified by MyKad identification code '10’); or
  • Students with an address in Selangor; or
  • Applicants with home address in Selangor; or
  • Applicants with office address in Selangor.

Supporting Documents

  • Customers are required to provide supporting documents to the Bank to verify their status. Acceptable documents include: an education letter; Confirmation from the learning institution regarding the status; Student ID card (Matrix Card); Electricity, water, or telephone bill; Lease agreement; Employment letter; Bank statement; or any other document as may be required by the Bank.

Type of Accounts

  • Individual or joint account (18 years old and above)

Nationality

  • Malaysian, Permanent Resident and Non-Resident

Initial Deposit

  • Zero initial deposit (Customers are given a 90-day grace period to make the initial deposit into the account)

Minimum Balance to Maintain

  • The minimum balance required to be maintained in the savings account at all the times is RM1.00.
