Eligibility & Requirements

Requirements

  • To qualify, customers must meet one of the following criteria; they must be “Anak Sabah” as indicated by a “H” on their MyKad, individual born in Sabah (MyKad with code “12”), be students with an address in Sabah, have a residential address in Sabah, or have an office address in Sabah.
  • Customers are required to provide supporting documents to the Bank to verify their status. Acceptable documents include an education letter, confirmation of learning institution on the status, student ID card (Matrix Card), electricity bill, water bill, telephone bill, lease agreement, employment letter, bank statement or any document (if required by the bank).

Type of Accounts

  • Personal

Minimum Age

  • Individual or joint account (18 years old and above)

Nationality

  • Malaysian, Permanent Resident and Non-Resident

Initial Deposit

  • Zero initial deposit (Customers are given a 90-day grace period to make the initial deposit into the account.)

Minimum Balance to Maintain

  • The minimum balance required to be maintained in the savings account at all the times is RM1.00.
